River Ridge Retreat

Welcome to River Ridge Retreat! We’re Courtney and Jeremy, and it’s an absolute pleasure to welcome you to our home on the beautiful Oregon Coast.

Jeremy was born in sunny San Diego and spent much of his life in Nebraska before making his way to Denver, and then Omaha, where he worked in the tech sector specializing in General Aviation. Courtney, a proud child of the Pacific Northwest, grew up in Vancouver, Canada, before her academic journey took her to Ontario and Virginia Tech, where she earned her PhD. She now works as a Senior Research Scientist, addressing critical issues of food access and food insecurity.

We met and built our lives together in Omaha, Nebraska, but in 2020, the Oregon Coast called to us. What began as a spur-of-the-moment pandemic getaway turned into a love affair with this breathtaking region. For Jeremy, it was a refreshing escape from the landlocked Midwest, and for Courtney, it felt like coming home to her PNW roots.

In 2021, we purchased the land where this home now stands. After years of planning, we completed the build in 2025, creating a sanctuary where family, friends, and travelers like you can experience the serenity and beauty of the coast.
